Autumn days in London. And no rain. Stumbled upon a gem @ Hoxton square. Unconventionally but convincingly, File DVD brings a genius mix of new media and superbly designed print. A 124 page newsprint including 186 minutes of short films, music videos and documentaries on DVD. Worthwile, if only for the exhilarating cover of Brigitte Bardot, The Flower Session. And so I discovered Firekites' poetic song and video Autumn Story. The short video uses chalk animation: it reverses the drawing by using white chalk on black chalkboards where the trace is the dusted out image.
Autumn days in London: we don't want these days to ever end.
